1. Choose your synthetic sheets
Two version-1 synthetic layouts: FIRSTLINE DEMO V1 and HARBOUR WEEKLY HOURS, printed English labels, one worker/assignment/week per file. PDF, PNG or JPEG; 1–10 files per session, 5 MiB each, 20 MiB total. PDFs: exactly one page, unencrypted. Images: at most 12 megapixels / 6000 px per edge. Handwriting is unvalidated; unreadable values must be reviewed or excluded.
Import assignment references
Import one buyer-approved CSV when available. For now, this browser starts with fictional references. The exact schema is reference_id,worker_id,worker_name,assignment_id,client_id,client_name,effective_from,effective_to. Dates use YYYY-MM-DD; effective_to may be blank. Invalid imports and duplicate reference_id values do not replace the last valid set. Matching is exact only; ambiguous, inactive and unmatched rows require a visible reviewer note or correction.

Choosing a batch replaces the current session. Sample batch includes a PDF, scan and six exception cases.

Download samples, template and demo rules
Use a development PDF as the template; keep the labels, change synthetic worker/hours, then save as PDF or a clear printed image. Every weekday and weekend day needs an explicit number, including zero. Week is a Monday: YYYY-MM-DD for Firstline, DD/MM/YYYY for Harbour. Harbour combines the employee ID/name and uses a seven-column Mon–Sun hours row. Total is optional; if present, we compare it with the sum of daily hours, using decimal hundredths. No breaks, overtime, pay rates or rounding rules are inferred.

These PDFs and raster scans are synthetic examples, not customer validation. The file named handwritten-scan is printed unsupported notation, not a handwriting benchmark. Customer configuration and accuracy validation await authorised samples.
Synthetic references
Matching uses exact worker and assignment keys, exact names only where the stable worker ID is missing, and effective dates. It never accepts a fuzzy guess.

2. Check the source and review
Every record needs your review. OCR uncertainty is heuristic, not a calibrated accuracy score. Correct a field or resolve each exception with a visible note. Editing values clears that record’s notes and invalidates reviews; duplicate decisions must be checked again when the batch changes.

3. Download destination-ready rows
Import one agreed JSON destination schema to configure identifiers, exact headers and order, week-date format, hour precision, filenames, source references and review references. Only reviewed, included records go into the reviewed CSV. Unresolved, excluded and not-yet-reviewed records go into the separate exceptions CSV. Source references are local filenames and page numbers, not permanent hosted document links.
Destination schema
The browser starts with the fictional “Synthetic staffing import fixture” schema. Invalid versions, properties, columns, duplicate identifiers/headers, unsupported date formats, or missing required source/review fields are rejected without replacing the last valid schema.

Fixture-tested only. A generated CSV is not customer destination validation. Rollout requires the buyer to open or import a synthetic export in the actual destination and approve the mapping.
4. Build the measured assessment report
Enter evidence for the selected source. Every number is marked measured, estimated or unknown. Human review, correction and exception time stays separate from browser processing latency. Capacity value is an estimate of released time, never a claim of cash savings.
